2023 Fashion Week Reflections

    

    
    As one of the most important aspects of the industry, fashion week showcases the collections of designers, brands, and fashion houses on the runway. I love seeing designers' creations at the shows, but my favorite part is watching the attendees experiment and be creative with their looks. This year, Doja Cat attended the Schiaparelli Haute Couture SS23 show in Paris. She wore a red bustier with a wooden beaded skirt and 30,000 crystals that were applied by hand on her body. 

My Favorite FW Looks:

 Saint Laurent Fall 2023 Menswear

Anthony Vaccarello designed the collection, which featured black belted coats, knitted tunics, draped tops, bowed tops, and tuxedo jackets. He represented sleek menswear beautifully. 

Louis Vuitton Fall 2023 Menswear

Founder and creative director of KidSuper, Colm Dillane incorporated his paintings into the clothes with a mix of colorful and cartoonish, but with a Louis Vuitton feel. The tailoring and surrealist art are so detailed.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2023

With Gaultier, Haider Ackermann embodies chic tailoring with a minimalist aesthetic. One of my favorite looks is the black tailcoat suit with square shouldering and stilettos. The colors, style, and cut of his designs have a masculine-feminine feel to me.

Harris Reed Fall 2023

I absolutely love this brand!  I was drawn to these creations because it radiates a majestic, ethereal, and royal appeal.The collection combines black velvet and gold lame fabric into curved shapes and silhouettes.

LaQuan Smith  FW23 Collection

Among LaQuan Smith's most popular designs are the body-con designs and cut-outs. In this collection, there was a familiarity with his brand signature, while feeling and looking elevated. Among my favorite pieces are the tuxedo lapel detailing with the fitted black backless jacket, sheer tops, and reversed blazer dress.
