The Motivation

Today’s post I want to go in a different direction, but still incorporate a little fashion. This past Tuesday, someone asked me what motivates me. Ever since then, I have been in deep thought about what is “motivation.” Does motivation attract a person or do we have to find it? The basis of Dream in Fabric is fashion but I also want to talk about other topics to build connections for others.  Being open, vulnerable, and expressing my feelings to someone is terrifying for me. This blog has allowed me to share some parts of my personal life and my journey through fashion. When I created this blog, I wanted my stories and tips to reach out to people in a confident, inspirational, motivational, and positive form. That was my motivation; creating a platform to move people. Within that outcome I have received the sweetest feedback and support, and from the bottom of my heart I am absolutely grateful for everyone.  It means the world to me when people tell me I've helped them overcome their struggles and insecurities.

Fashion has absolutely motivated me to become confident and decisive. But I wouldn’t have gotten to this position if it wasn’t without my family to keep me grounded. My mom has always been there for me and supported me, especially helping me in every way with this blog. It’s very important to show gratitude to the people who have been there for you and who have contributed to your art. I stay motivated in different ways whether it’s my family, overcoming my fears, or my passion for fashion. Motivation helps you learn more about yourself and your purpose. No matter the trials and tribulations you may go through in life, find ways to stay motivated and inspired to work hard because it’s worth it.
